It's a club not a concert venue
Sorry for the club experience, I am too old! I was not aware that standing room only, the Fillmore is. I don't know how a small handful of seats were able to get a few people. I got there early and just a couple people from the very front of the stage was. I watched all of Courtney's opening act, but waiting and standing for hours for New Haven Ballet, my legs, knees, and shoulders could not tolerate, let alone the hot, claustrophobic, shoulder to shoulder press of other people. In search of somewhere to sit, I left and found a lounge area with a tv. For a while, I rested, and then tried to find a spot to see New Haven Ballet, but not right along the aisle upstairs, if you're, you won't be able to see at all! Downstairs was no better, since by the time New Haven Ballet took the stage, the entire downstairs was crammed wall to wall, front to back. Back to the couch to watch New Haven Ballet's set, I ended up going. I felt like I had spent $100 to watch a televised event. What a letdown after looking forward to this concert for months!
